Lead electrical design effort to support the development of basic and detailed design of new plants and their infrastructure, as well as additions or modifications to existing facilities, in coordination with Project Managers and other Design Disciplines. This includes but is not limited to:
- Developing Electrical Distribution Systems, Single Line Diagrams and Protection Schemes.
- Performing Electrical Short Circuit and Load Flow studies.

Purpose:

Description

PURPOSE:

This position is responsible for providing technical support and administrative duties for all aspects of the Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) applications for North America. This position will also provide technical support to regional initiatives relating to improvements, harmonization, or other impacts of the CAE applications in North America. This position will also assist in supporting the Global IT Road Map initiative. This position will also provide training/documentation for all changes related to the CAE systems. This position will provide technical support in providing day to day user support for enterprise applications (Smartplant Instrumentation, Aspen Engineering Suite, E-Monitor Vibration Analysis, Citrix based applications, Primavera, Industry Standards-Petrochem, NFPA Codes, NEC Handbook) for North America. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with NTS department and Engineering community to install and test new software. The incumbent will assist with the investigation of new technologies identified by the Engineering community, and help perform user testing and production rollout.
- Provide technical assistance in solving day to day problems in SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI). This would include supporting the SPI Lead in the planning, implementation and execution of any upgrades to the application suite.
- Act as a representative of the Engineering community to the Global PC Standardization Community and will assist iin supporting the Global IT Road Map initiative.
- Take a lead role and support PC Standardization for the Engineering Community.
- Review and obtain proper approval for all CAE Engineering software upgrades and new installations.

- Maintains weekly and daily alignment with the cluster's maintenance gatekeeper regarding work priorities and schedule, and ensures continuity of on-going work between shifts by tracking progress and communicating status with operations personnel, and recommending appropriate actions.
- Consults and works with production engineers/specialists/managers, technologists, and TES personnel in resolving operational problems, modifications, improvements, and optimizations.
- Prepares detailed plans for operational changes such as startups, shutdowns, product changes, plant tests, etc.
- Ensures that content of operating instructions and parameters is accurate and current.
- Assist other operations personnel in obtaining guidance and training for shift personnel to promote proper operation and maintenance of the plants.
- Participates in root cause failure analyses and in corrective actions for bad actors.
- Assures compliance with standard production trends and conformance with good manufacturing practices.
- Monitors performance of LIMS/PIMS KPI's, plant yields, product quality, and waste generation.
- Coordinates with Analytical Services regarding lab analyses, trains and coaches shift personnel on responding to analytical results, follows up on investigating non-conformances, and provides assistance during customer audits/visits.

Implements the High Performance Organization within the shift supervisors by training, coaching, setting goals and objectives, evaluating performance, administering compensation programs, seeking career development opportunities, and planning personnel successions.

- Issue and compile monthly reports and other various reports for internal use, business group and upper management
