§ Responsible to work with the Implementation team and 3rd part provides towards the implementation of identified projects through effective communication between the sites, internal resources providers, and external 3rd Party providers for quality improvements at the sites.

§ Liaison with the various Quality Groups: Quality Council, NA Laboratory Community

§ Regular liaison with global OpX/Technology groups such as ZOT may be necessary

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

§ BS or BA required; BS, BA, or advanced degree must be in a business or technical field
- 15+ years experience in the production/manufacturing environment in an engineering or quality-focused role is required, preferably in chemical operations.
- Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification required

§ Strong understanding and demonstrated experience regarding improvement techniques within DMAIC, statistical process control and product/process capability evaluations (eg Six Sigma) required.

§ Experience with internal and external ISO/RCMS auditing.

§ Understanding of ISO 9001:2008 and Responsible Care Management Systems (RCMS) Tech Specifications.

§ Knowledgeable in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), Lab & Testing Requirements, Manufacturing Process Planning, and Supplier Development.

§ Knowledgeable in Non-Compliance Management (NCM) system required; experience with SAP NCM a plus

§ Strong leadership and team collaboration skills to work with indirect personnel

§ Coordination skills and ability to react and lead in a changing environment

Responsible for measurement of Loss on Ignition/Drying by instrumental methods.
