We are currently seeking a motivated, enthusiastic Quality Analyst to join our quality team within the Agricultural Solutions (AP) business. The position is located in Ames, IA.

Quality Analyst II – 1801915 – Ames, IA

Where you'll work…

As a Quality Analyst II, you will be responsible for inspecting raw materials and intermediates to ensure conformance to established specifications. You will also develop test methods and consistency checks, as well as investigate nonconformance root causes.

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Test method development
- Test method consistency checks
- Inspect raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods using established test methods
- Calibrate and maintain QC instrumentation
- Report non-conformances related to raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods
- Provide recommendations to correct out-of-specification batches when possible
- Investigate non-conforming material
- Generate and maintain records related to product quality
- Ensure good housekeeping and safety of work areas

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…
- BS in Chemistry, Microbiology, Agriculture or Related Discipline
- 3+ years of experience in an industrial laboratory setting
- Proficient with computers
- Flexible schedule; willing to work overtime and weekends as needed to support production schedules
- Ability to distinguish colors
- Good laboratory technique; follows established test methods consistently, efficiently, and accurately
- Strong attention to detail; flexible, with the ability to multi-task
