Where the Chemistry Happens…

We are seeking a professional like you to join our team as an Architectural Marketing Manager within Construction Chemicals (N-EBN). Reporting to the Manager, Strategic Development, this position will work closely with that businesses marketing managers, communications managers and will be a member of the building solutions team. This role is responsible for growing our brand with general building design firms in our targeted geographies. Secondly, it is responsible for understanding the key messaging from our construction chemical businesses, prioritizing and developing concepts / vehicles to promote with designers. Finally, the role is responsible for the marketing plan and implementation of programs to ensure the success of Construction Chemical’s specification team.

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Understand the key messages from our construction chemical businesses, prioritize and develop concepts / vehicles to promote with designers.
- Build/Refine/Maintain the marketing plan for the value chain position and run analyses to challenge changes in the market, as needed.
- Grow our brand with general building design firms in our targeted geographies: Event planning, contract negotiation, concept development and implementation. Also leverage programs that refine any of construction chemicals’ digital platforms (website, social media, BASF content, CRM systems).
- Analyze options, propose and implement marketing programs and manage tools to ensure the success of Construction Chemical’s specification team
- Work with key marketing and business stakeholders (internal) to insure alignment with concepts, programs and status of initiatives.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- Bachelor’s degree required in Architecture, Science, Engineering, Marketing, or Sales; MBA preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience (8 years with MBA) required, including:
- At least 5 years of exposure to the construction industry
- Experiences developing/implementing marketing programs
- Achieving success through others
- Experience as a practicing design professional, or familiarity with building specifications preferred.
- Able to work independently, accomplish objectives through others to accomplish goals.
- Able to simplify complex ideas and communicate marketing concepts using written and verbal approaches.
- Comfortable with digital tools.
- Ability to recognize, prepare, and sell-value oriented concepts to others.
- Capable of facilitating discussions with stakeholders of different levels/abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively within the BASF organization.
- Able to organize, manage, and plan team activities, priorities, and goals.
- Familiar with construction specifications and appropriate design language.
- Ability to understand and use basic financial concepts.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Must be willing and receptive to training and personal development.
- Able to travel up to 30%.
