This is where you come in.

The Product Manager in Beachwood, OH, as a member of the Admixture Systems Marketing team, will create and implement product line growth strategies, including product positioning, pricing strategies, and product portfolio rationalization. This position is responsible for identifying new product needs and coordinating new product development. S/he will assess and develop responses to competitive threats. This role will develop Sales/Marketing tools and provide technical and field training and support for assigned product lines.

Product Manager - Admixtures (1801403) – Beachwood, OH

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Develop product strategies and plans for products within the product line.
- Establish product line and product investment postures, generic product strategies (e.g., differentiation, price-based, time-based and associated market/technology tactics, position products, develop and communicate product/offering value propositions, develop and communicate product and technology road-mapping, orchestrate competitive use of standards and certifications, define product and technology platforms, set targets for product quality and value, and define and implement flexible service offerings
- Form, secure approval for, and execute a strategic product line marketing plan each year. Identify, communicate, and lead new business opportunities within your area of responsibility.
- Serve as a team leader (and in some cases, serve as a team member) on cross-functional NPP project teams.
- Build the NPP team. Develop the integrated project plan, communicate it to the team, evolve it over time. Lead development of the integrated business plan to be assessed at stage-gate reviews. Oversee and/or execute development of project and growth platform ECVs. Resolve project execution issues.
- Develop, with the NPP product plan including price, cost, quality and performance objectives, performance attributes, and manufacturability
- Participate and lead Product Launches within the target product line.
- Engage in cross-functional, project-based Product Launch Teams assembled to commercialize new products/offerings into the target Industry.
- Represent product issues involved in product launch. Execute the product line management portion of the product launch work plan.
- Participate in pricing for the Product Line.
- Set and implement product price bands, exception policies, and annual price increases.
- Capture and synthesize BASF and competitive product/technology performance information, competitive pricing information, customer value propositions, and delivered cost information into appropriate, optimized pricing bands and strategies
- Lead functional collaboration for the selection of products within the product line to be retired and justification for the retirement proposal, participate in development of retirement plans (tasks, timing, and sales credits), and manage retirement within the Product Line.
- Orchestrate product-specific communications and communications events in coordination with the Manager of Communications.
- Develop marketing and sales materials including PowerPoint presentation sales tools, data sheets, brochures, spreadsheets, software programs, published papers, demonstration kits, advertisements, press releases, industry literature, and materials required to successfully execute tradeshows and seminars
- Participate in relevant seminars and tradeshows.
- Manage product documentation.
- Identify, develop, and manage product-focused strategic programs.
- Conceive, define, plan, and lead execution of product-based value-added programs and tools.
- Support product-based sales development and training.
- Develop, distribute, and deliver product-based customer value propositions required to drive sales.
- Create and distribute sales training materials coordinated through Sales.
- Provide input for key supply chain management activities.
- Forecast product demand as input to the Master Production Schedule.
- Ensure product availability matches customer requirements.
- Provide input into inventory policies.
- Create and implement product line growth strategies, new product development and launches, and the promotion, and training and market acceptance of technologies within the assigned product line.
- Follow all appropriate Environmental Protection, Safety, Health (EHS) policies.
- Assure standards of safety, environmental, team and individual performance are met in a high-performance team-based organization.
- Address and raise the EHS standards at BASF.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 1+ year of total experience required in product management, sales, or marketing.
- Product, Sales or Marketing experience in a technical environment is a plus.
- Concrete industry and concrete/admixture knowledge, is a plus.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to interpret and understand customer product and service needs.
- Experience in running broad-based marketing programs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and build teams, to serve as a team member, and to infuse teams with functional marketing and product management expertise.
- Experience with market research and analysis (e.g., customer surveys, focus groups, voice-of-the-customer).
- Demonstrated influencing skills across all functional organizations and all levels.
- Ability to direct tactical marketing deliverables.
- Highly-developed interpersonal skills.
- Good presentation and communication skills. Can articulate ideas and findings to senior and executive management.
- Organized and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must be team-oriented; self-starter; goal-oriented; data-driven.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Knowledge of Lotus Notes, Access, and SAP a plus.
