Where the Chemistry Happens…

In this role, you will support the sales of BASF products and services at a specific account site or region by monitoring the use of products in customer’s applications, responding to customer requirements, and enforcing product quality/performance specifications. In addition, you will support new product/application development and launches. The successful incumbent will demonstrate the technical and professional expertise to enhance BASF’s reputation with the customer. You will monitor and control key performance indicators within product service environments to drive problem resolution and product improvement initiatives critical to customer performance expectations.

Field Technical Service Representative I (MBUSI) (1801363) – Vance, Alabama

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Support the customer and adapt to daily challenges within the production environment to ensure customer’s production and quality targets are met.
- Hold responsibility for:

o Performance of BASF’s products and services

o Material forecasting and inventory management

o Support of BASF product launches/optimization
- Measure, monitor, analyze, and report product and process performance.
- Support paint application, product utilization, and process optimization.
- Advance complaint investigations, analysis, and problem resolution.
- Develop and maintain productive and profitable customer relationships.
- Identify and effectively communicate customer needs to the internal organization.
- Assist the development of long-term communication, product, and service strategies.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- High School diploma/Equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience working with automotive OEMs on a technical level is a plus.
- Coatings experience is preferable.
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SAP skills.
- Coatings knowledge including application, quality and performance requirements, and defect identification.
- Problem identification, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution
- Verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
