We are searching for a professional like you to play a key role in the planning, design, and execution of research activities and experiments to accomplish project objectives. You will be relied on to provide knowledge and expertise in achieving research targets, interpreting results, and reporting them to key stakeholders.

- Develop and validate formulations for new products that meet key customer requirements.
- Initiate exploratory technology programs and define potential applications/market value.

- Serve as a role model to champion a Zero Incident mindset while maintaining a safe working environment.
- Successfully engage across and outside the organization with colleagues, as well as with customers, suppliers, consultants, universities, and government agencies, and play a leadership role in industry conferences and technical societies.
- Lead a diverse team of cross-functional professionals across business lines to advance scientific, technical, and process expertise throughout the organization.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- Master’s degree in Polymer Science or a related field combined with at least 8 years of professional experience; OR Ph.D. in Polymer Science or a related field with at least 5 years of experience.
- Background in extrusion compounding and injection molding of engineering plastics.
- Ability to lead and develop a cross-functional team.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize Six Sigma methodology, statistical techniques, and stage gate process disciplines.
- Ability to articulate a value proposition to merchandize new products to internal and external customers.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
