We are seeking a Financial Analyst at our Charlotte, NC facility.

Financial Analyst (1705393) – Charlotte, NC

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Partner with marketing, sales, product management, and business management to find opportunities to increase profitability and improve business processes.
- Perform economic analyses for business strategy, capital projects, and new product/ innovation projects.
- Present financial analyses and recommendations to management.
- Provide margin and fixed costs analysis and highlight potential problem areas that require management attention.
- Forecast monthly business performance and proactively identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with marketing and product management to develop the annual operational plan.
- Support the month end closing process by analyzing P&Ls to ensure accuracy and monitor actual performance to the operational plan/prior year.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Finance, business, technical discipline or related fields.
- MBA degree or in process is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience, ideally in a global, process-driven manufacturing company.
- Experience managing budgeting and forecasting processes is advantageous.
- Candidate must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to think and act on both strategic and tactical levels.
- A broad-based knowledge of accounting theory and practice including cost accounting, general ledger, financial statement preparation, budgeting, and internal controls is preferred.
- Familiarity with MS Office software and SAP is essential. Significant experience using MS Excel pivot tables as well as MS Access is advantageous.
