The Construction Solutions Group is dedicated to bringing innovative formulated solutions to our customers in the construction industry by combining the entire BASF portfolio of products and services. BASF 's Dispersions & Resins business has an opening for Marketing Manager, Construction Solutions Group.

The Marketing Manager is responsible for regional marketing activities within the assigned industry segment. The position designs, steers, and executes the marketing strategy and plan for the assigned segment.

Marketing Manager, Construction Solutions Group (1705205) – Charlotte, NC

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Identify industry specific trends, requirements, unmet customer needs, and key growth areas and opportunity fields.
- Develop and implement annual marketing and commercial plans for assigned segment including strategy and positioning, market research, pricing strategy, customer segmentation, and communications strategy.
- In conjunction with Strategic Marketing Analyst, identify innovation opportunities for assigned industry segments and input into innovation pipeline.
- Initiate and manage innovation projects through the PhaseGate process.
- Own new product launches, including developing internal sales tools and external marketing collateral and content.
- Oversee and manage contribution margin for assigned segment.
- Understand product value and develop industry-specific target pricing, and monitor profitability, in conjunction with product management
- Collect, validate, maintain, and update market and competitive intelligence per assigned industry segment
- Regularly interact with customers and market to identify insights, as well as expectations from their overall experience with BASF.
- Design and execute content strategy for segment.
- Provide strategic direction and oversight to Marketing Specialist in the execution of advertising, promotions, sponsorships, events, and promotional materials and activities.
- Consistently interact with and motivate BASF sales force to identify market opportunities.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- Bachelor’s degree in a business, liberal arts, or science discipline with at least 10 years of work experience; OR advanced degree with at least 8 years of work experience.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the following:
- Analyze markets, select target products, and prepare business strategies
- Communicate, interact with, and influence effectively at all levels of personnel and management
- Manage complex projects; lead and coordinate programs and initiatives successfully
- Succeed in an entrepreneurial endeavor

- Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Excellent planning, organizing, and work management skills to effectively prioritize activities.
- Travel up to 25%.
