We are seeking a Sales Manager to become a part of our Construction & Fiber Bonding team based in Charlotte, NC and who will support the overall success of the Dispersions & Resins business in North America.

The Dispersions & Resins business of BASF develops, produces and markets a range of high-quality resins, additives, colorants and polymer dispersions worldwide. These raw materials are used in formulations for coatings and paints, printing and packaging products, construction chemicals, adhesives, fiberbondings, nonwovens, and paper manufacturing. Sales Manager, Construction Fiber Bonding (1700980)

Reporting to the Business Director, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring sales objectives aligned with overall N-EDN business objectives and priorities. You will manage a diverse team of Sales Team Leaders, Account Managers, Key Account Managers, and Technical Account Managers. You will also develop, implement, and monitor sales objectives which are aligned with overall N-EDN objectives and priorities.

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Lead a diverse team of sales professionals to achieve business objectives, including the development and tracking of goals, coaching, development and professional training.
- Develop, implement, and monitor agreed account sales strategies (including pricing implementation) and providing clear strategic direction to the sales organization.
- Support the establishment of sustainable relationships with customer base and market influencers to understand customer’s true needs, emotional, strategic and technical solution interests.
- Lead and manage overall sales process and coordination of interfaces to other departments/functions including following up and through opportunities with accounts.
- Enable cross-business collaboration and synergies to maximize BASF value and ensuring harmonized process across N-EDN industries.
- Participate in Sales Leadership Council to ensure alignment and consistency across N-EDN.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- Undergraduate degree in science, business or related field with 7+ years’ experience in sales, marketing, product management or technical service.
- Proven leadership and team development skills.
- Demonstrated experience negotiating pricing.
- Demonstrated experience working across the organization in support of the customer.
- Demonstrated experience influencing others, including your sales team, to meet both tactical and strategic business goals.
- Demonstrated experience driving and inspiring sales growth with the proven ability to understand, develop and communicate value propositions.
- Excellent (written, verbal, presentation) communication skills.

We Also Look for…
- Previous experience in financial and operational analysis and contracts.
- An MBA
- 3+ years of previous supervisory experience.
