We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst at our Charlotte, NC facility.

Senior Financial Analyst – Charlotte, NC

Formulate for Success: You Will….
- Be the key individual responsible for the coordination of annual business operational plan preparation, monthly forecasting process, as well as report preparations to both global and regional management teams.
- Coordinate and prepare the monthly cost center report for the business and provide associated commentary and analysis.
- Contribute to and coordinate the development of the monthly business performance metrics report.
- Proactively monitor business performance at both topline and cost positions, identifying topics requiring management attention.
- Perform ad-hoc financial alternative studies including capital investment evaluation, as well as short-term decision-making support.
- Partner with controlling team colleagues to promote department sustainability and continuity, serving as the backup resource for fixed asset accounting and fixed cost forecasting
- Ensure sound internal controls over those financial reporting processes included within scope of responsibilities.
- Lead efforts to find and evaluate new tools and systems from Big Data, to extract meaning from the data, bringing value and insights to the business.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related technical/business field; advanced degree preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of financial or business analysis experience, ideally in a global, process-driven manufacturing company.
- Experience providing value-added analysis to customer facing roles will be a significant advantage.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with MS Office software is essential, including significant experience using Excel pivot tables and MS Access. Preference will also be given to candidates with significant SAP experience as well as internal BASF tools (e.g., COBUS, COINS, OCEAN, CARAT).
