Where the Chemistry Happens…

We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager, Performance Flooring. As this is a remote position responsible for the Western US, the Regional Sales Manager can live anywhere in the Western US.

Regional Sales Manager, Performance Flooring (1801672) – Western US

Your primary responsibility is to manage, coach and develop Territory Sales Managers (TSM) and Manufacturer's Representatives (MR) for the performance flooring product offering within a given region, meeting the volume and profit levels that are consistent with the corporate assigned budgetary responsibilities. You will work with the team within the region to perform all necessary sales and marketing activities for targeted market segments involving core product growth in such a manner as to facilitate project-oriented sales.

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Complete, communicate and implement a comprehensive SOP (Sales Operating Plan) for the Western US Region, in-line with the Commercial & Industrial Flooring strategic direction.
- Train, coach and develop TSMs and MRs for them to continuously improve their performance and meet/achieve set goals and objectives that tie into the Region's budgetary responsibilities. Monitor their performance to assigned budget responsibilities and address any gaps.
- Provide the Business Manager with insights and information that pertains to the market conditions within the region that could affect the performance of the region, a specific area or the business as a whole.
- Ensure sales pipeline health and project data accuracy for the region using identified systems and metrics.
- Ensure maintenance and further development of approved contractor network with the objective to establish primary supply position with each.
- Assist sales team in continually developing technical knowledge and professional selling skills.
- Assist Marketing Department by providing voice of customer and competitive market information.
- Maintain and develop appropriate distribution and contractor partnership relationships.
- Manage pricing for the defined segment.
- Manage quality and complaint investigation and resolution.
- Manage timely reporting, delivering sales results (top-and bottom-line) and managing region to the expense budget.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…
- Bachelor’s Degree required (Business, Architecture, Engineering or related degree preferred) and a minimum of 5+ years of experience in outside sales in a business-to-business environment.
- Construction industry experience required
- Resinous flooring experience preferred.
- Operational experience and ability to lead the sales force.
- Demonstrated track record of leadership capabilities and management skills in a capacity as project or program manager, or manager of people.
- Proven history of meeting or exceeding budgetary requirements and representing their company in a professional manner.
