Seeking experienced industrial electricity and instrumentation mechanic with demonstrated experience in: ladder logic, PLC's, P & ID's, calibration techniques, additional knowledge in hydraulics, pneumatics, and pumps is a plus.

Ideal candidate will perform a wide variety of mechanical and electrical maintenance work. Possibility of afternoon or continuous shift work.
- Responsible for maintaining mechanical equipment required for proper plant operation and perform preventive maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot electrical equipment to diagnose problems and determine necessary repairs.
- Install and repair electronic instrumentation.
- Must be a self-starter
- Be able to work independently
- Work from prints and comprehend general instructions.
- Must possess a safety mindset and comply with all safety rules and regulations.
- Must have good troubleshooting skills and be familiar with industrial codes relative to installation, inspection, and repairs on all plant mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Must possess broad knowledge of power / hand tools and rigging / lifting techniques.
- Experience working with SAP a plus

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
- Must have high school diploma or GED
- 2 year associates degree in mechanical technology and / or industrial maintenance preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance shop
- Advanced technical training a plus.
- Millwright experience or possession of a Journeyman Millwright certification is preferred.
- Related work experiences in reading electrical interconnect drawings, ladder logic drawings, P & ID's and electrical equipment specifications with working knowledge of prevailing electrical codes a plus.
- Working knowledge of calibration techniques, testing equipment, and ISO 9008 requirements for documentation.
- Must have good verbal and written skills.
- Must be a team player.
- Must be computer literate.
