Business Process Optimization Specialist (1802411) – Florham Park, NJ

We are seeking a professional like you to play a key role in the North America Corporate Controlling team to leverage data that produces business analytics to drive new initiatives. You will use your strong financial acumen and highly-developed computer skills to collaborate with the Regional and Global Functions, Business Units and Shared Service Centers to identify value added initiatives. In addition, you will work independently using your data and analytical skills to meet goals and deadlines and create business impact.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Formula for Success
- Leveraging your educational and professional background in Finance, Accounting, Engineering or a related field, combined with your experience writing logic/design/code, you will extract, manipulate, and analyze data which will be used to identify and implement opportunities to automate reporting.
- With your knowledge of data collection and analysis, you will identify and drive process improvements and best practices to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of data collection.
- Successfully engaging across the organization, you will coordinate with colleagues from FSI (Global Information Services) to resolve issues and promote best practices while maintaining ongoing interface with the business community (Regional and Global).
- Your strong understanding of SAP and other business systems (e.g. Microsoft Analysis Office, BEx Web, BEx Query, BEx Analyzer, Power BI, SQL server, Tableau) will be a valued asset as you create reports that meet regional and global business requirements.
- As a trusted advisor, you will support, develop and oversee training of various applications. In addition, you will contribute to all testing (UAT) environments and ensure changes are reviewed by key stakeholders prior to being released into a production environment.
