Where the Chemistry Happens…

We are seeking a Director, Corporate Distribution North America to lead and motivate the North America Corporate Distribution Team to develop and execute, in conjunction with regional businesses, the appropriate channel strategies to contribute to the profitable growth of the company. The Director will establish a close link with strategic distribution customers and assist in building capability and resources to meet and exceed mutual growth objectives. This role will anticipate, understand, and satisfy the distributor needs, while improving BASF’s competitive position, increasing productivity and managing costs in a safe, secure, and environmentally responsible manner.

Formula for Success: You Will…

Utilizing the high business and financial acumen you have gained through distribution experience and successfully implementing business growth strategies, you will:
- Lead and inspire a high-performing corporate distribution team by building and maintaining a positive work environment and actively driving employee initiatives aimed at enhancing engagement and satisfaction, including training and development of the team.
- Create a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement.
- Develop and build relationships amongst the leadership within BASF and the strategic distribution customers.
- Provide strategic direction to the businesses to develop plans and strategies for commercializing their portfolio and achieving the company’s growth goals.
- Leverage the BASF product portfolio at individual distributors to achieve greater collective mind share than could be achieved with a product-by-product approach.
- Work in cooperation with the senior leadership of the various businesses, and keep them informed of high-level trends, new partnerships, and business development.
- Conduct significant internal contact needed with all levels of sales, marketing, and logistic organizations of the relevant business units.
- Identify risks and issues and develop mitigation plans.
- Define and implement the optimal corporate distribution structure to increase productivity and manage the team budget.
- Steer and counsel the business units and the sales forces in the direction of ethical behavior relative to distributor relationships and business decisions.
