BASF's Professional Development Programs (PDPs) were created to provide highly motivated, mobile-minded current university students an opportunity to enhance their professional skills through a variety of diverse learning experiences. Participants will contribute to real-world rotational assignments within different domestic locations. They will explore career options and develop technical and professional decision-making skills, while fulfilling specific business needs. Participants also have the opportunity to assess their capabilities, skills, and interests and gain valuable exposure to BASF's culture, values, and decision-makers.

Professional Development Program (PDP) – Accounting, Economics, & Finance Class of 2018

APPLICATION IS AVAILABLE TO STUDENTS RECEIVING BACHELOR IN FINANCE, ECONOMICS AND ACCOUNTING WITH 150 CREDITS OR MASTER’S IN ACCOUNTING BETWEEN DECEMBER 2017 AND AUGUST 2018.

Program Summary
- A 33 month rotational program with rotations varying in length from 3 and 6 month
- North American rotations include experiences in: Corporate Finance & Accounting, Internal Audit, Financial Planning and Analysis roles within Business, Regional and Functional Units (Procurement, Human Resources, EHS etc.), and Manufacturing Site Accounting and Analysis.
- Program also includes an assignment in the Americas Shared Service Center in Montevideo, Uruguay as well as the possibility of an international swap assignment.
- Assignments can be located in a variety of locations throughout the U.S.

- Develop technical expertise, network at senior levels throughout BASF and explore possible career tracks within the company.
- Enhance career development and deliver value to BASF through the planned assignments.
- This program offers a comprehensive program of employee benefits, including an award winning flexible work arrangement and 100% tuition reimbursement.
- Onetime cash recognition to individuals who have accepted a letter of employment from BASF and who successfully complete, prior to starting with BASF, at least 75% of their CPA or CMA examination and complete remaining sections within one year of employment.
- May lead to positions within Corporate Accounting, Internal Audit, Site Accounting and Controlling and Financial Analyst

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- Accounting – (Bachelor with 150 credits or Master Programs Accepted), Finance or Economics – (B.S/B.A)
- Successful completion of Intermediate Accounting II
- Demonstrated academic achievement (Minimum GPA 3.2); transcript required
- College Seniors-(Finance or Economics Majors) or Accounting-(Bachelor/Masters students) graduating between December 2017 – August 2018
- Commitment to relocate anywhere in the U.S.
- Authorization to work in the US without restrictions or need for future sponsorship
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Outstanding work ethic
- Agility/Leadership potential
- Demonstrate ability to think analytically
- Active participation in extracurricular activities and on-campus organizations

Desired Characteristics
- Bilingual a plus
- Previous internship/co-op experience
