Where the Chemistry Happens…

This position is responsible for the management of minor maintenance and construction contracts (generally up to $1M), and service agreements. It provides oversight for the performance and continuous improvement of the services provided by site contracts. The incumbent serves as the primary interface between BASF Corporation and the vendors. S/he reviews contract documents and drives the agreements and relationships to achieve greater value for BASF. The role will provide technical expertise and consulting to the users of the services within BASF Corporation. The position will be responsible for annual contractor spend of $10M and managing contractor headcount averaging 50.

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Develop KPIs and monitor performance, cost, workload forecast, and labor market conditions.
- Collaborate with procurement to reconcile vendor contracts to our internal procedures.
- Manage internal BASF equipment rental program.
- Meets with alliance contractors’ and service vendors’ management on a regular basis to review performance and investigate opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate resources for:
- Cranes, rigging
- Hydro/Chemical Cleaning
- Rental Services
- Laydown area management
- Leads efforts to improve contractor productivity.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or related industrial discipline with 7 or more years of industrial maintenance or industrial construction experience; OR a High School diploma (or equivalent) with 15 years of industrial maintenance and/or construction experience - in a chemical/petrochemical or similar manufacturing environment
- At least 5 years of experience in operations leadership
- Proven working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Prior experience with contractor management.
- Proven ability to effectively manage conflict while maintaining strong relationships.
- Knowledge of equipment and production processes (exposure to outages and TAR processes).
- Ability to develop and negotiate contracts and resolve claims.
- Continuous improvement mindset and ability to drive change and challenge/improve existing processes.

Preferred:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines.

This position requires all candidates to either currently possess or obtain and maintain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) Card from the U. S. Department of Homeland Security.
