Continuous Improvement Specialist (1800698) – Geismar, LA

We are seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist to function out of our Geismar, LA facility.

Formula for Success: You Will…
- As part of the NA2025 Strategy, continuously improve processes using methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to meet and exceed standards in quality, speed, and efficiency.
- Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma methodology to achieve the site’s priority objectives and key activities.
- Attain and document business results using Lean manufacturing tools and DMAIC problem-solving methodology that will enable the site to systematically improve and sustain performance.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- High School diploma/Equivalent with at least 10 years of relevant experience OR Bachelors Degree with at least 3 years relevant experience in the chemical manufacturing industry.
- Demonstrated competencies to lead small continuous improvement projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing concepts and participation on project teams is a plus.
- This position requires the incumbent to either currently possess or obtain and maintain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) Card from the U. S. Department of Homeland Security.
