I&E Supervisor (1802268) – Geismar, LA

Where the Chemistry Happens

This position is responsible for the safe, quality, and cost-effective execution of maintenance work in an assigned area. You will lead the activities of BASF and Contract employees and removes barriers to facilitate work execution productivity for Routine, Turnaround, and Outage maintenance. This position provides expertise to support maintenance, operations, and capital project activities. Additionally, you will ensure a culture of continuous improvement employing LEAN Manufacturing tools. The scope is instrumentation and electrical less than 600 volts.

Formula for Success
- Leveraging your educational and professional background in Petrochemical Instrumentation and Electrical Maintenance, you will support the development of reliability targets consistent with business needs, and recommend necessary actions to achieve committed results.
- Leading a team of cross-functional professionals, you will develop goals for staff and execution teams which support department objectives. You will drive implementation, monitor effectiveness, and take necessary actions to meet objectives. In addition, you will coach and direct team members to successfully meet targets, and track key performance metrics.
- Your strong commitment to continuous improvement will be a valued asset as you drive the use of LEAN manufacturing tools to identify waste and foster continuous improvement to enhance the overall maintenance work process, and improve cost effectiveness and efficiency.
- Your dedication to a safe work environment is critical as you ensure the application of all safety rules, assure Maintenance personnel are aware of and employing safe working practices, and by promoting safety programs and behaviors.
- Utilizing your hands-on knowledge and experience with various types of instrument and electrical systems, equipment, and software, you will facilitate execution of maintenance work processes and activities by providing leadership and direction to crafts for the safe and effective execution of work, including routine, turnaround, and outage maintenance.
- Your ability to deal with the unplanned and unknown will be a plus as you handle non-routine and emergency activities such as schedule breakers, plant shutdowns, start-up, and commissioning.
- Successfully engaging across the organization, you will provide daily communications on the status of maintenance in the area, including job status information, incident/safety topics, production area information, best practices, and feedback.
