Maintenance & Reliability Support Services Manager leads an expert group that provides Maintenance and Reliability expertise and support for BASF Corporation sites in North America, and contributes to global improvements as part of the global BASF Maintenance & Reliability (M&R) Support Services community. The Maintenance & Reliability Support Services Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and sustainability of best in class Maintenance and Reliability work processes to optimize maintenance costs and plant availability, to meet the needs of BASF businesses.

Formula for success. You will.....
- Provide leadership and direction to the Maintenance & Reliability Support Services group members, ensuring targets and business needs are met, projects prioritized, and regular process functional upgrades and outputs are achieved.
- Lead and drive the identification, development, implementation and sustainability of Maintenance and Reliability programs across the North American region.
- Responsible for developing strategies, tools, and work processes to reduce costs and production losses.
- Collaborate with various business groups and sites to identify and deliver needed Maintenance and Reliability improvement across the North American region, as well as collaborate with global BASF Maintenance & Reliability peer groups to identify opportunities for advancing BASF Maintenance & Reliability programs globally.
- Lead the BASF North American Technical Rules Committee (TRC) for Maintenance and Reliability, to maintain the technical procedures and standards for this discipline.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for success. What we look for in you.....
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
- Minimum 10 years of chemical plant experience with Maintenance and/or Engineering programs required
- Experience with chemical plant equipment Maintenance and Reliability processes required
- Experience directly managing others required
- Maintenance and Reliability management experience is preferred.
- Ability to manage and provide guidance, leadership and promote development of Maintenance & Reliability Support Services personnel.
- Good understanding of industry best practices regarding Maintenance and Reliability activities and work processes. This includes appropriate Maintenance and Reliability tools to drive improvements, optimize costs, and improve Asset Effectiveness.
- Good understanding of Maintenance and Reliability metrics and KPIs.
- Knowledgeable of applicable industry codes and standards.
- Willingness and ability to seek, identify or receive new or novel solutions in the fields of Maintenance and Reliability.
- Knowledgeable in Maintenance and Reliability practices, both internal and external to BASF, with the skills to address demanding and time sensitive issues impacting chemical plant Maintenance and Reliability program performance.
- Ability to influence and motivate regional and global stakeholders to adopt, implement and sustain appropriate processes related to equipment Maintenance and Reliability. (Oversee the creation of strategies, tools, procedures and guidelines, and influence stakeholders to implement accordingly.)
- Strong interpersonal skills needed to work with various organizational levels and functions within sites, business groups, manufacturing community, and the Engineering & Maintenance community both in the North America region and globally.
- Excellent collaboration skills, with ability to work with site personnel, and regional and global experts to provide innovative solutions to complex issues. This includes leading regional or global teams for creation or improvement of Maintenance and Reliability strategies, programs and processes.
- External Maintenance or Reliability organization knowledge certification preferred.
- SAP or other Computerized Maintenance Management Systems experience.
- Strong computer skills.
