Manager, Asset Management – (1800598) – Geismar, LA

Where the Chemistry Happens

We are seeking a professional like you who will provide leadership, direction, and focus for the development and execution of all Infrastructure and manufacturing asset strategies including Ethylene Oxide, Fuel Additives, Utilities, Cogeneration facilities, Waste Treatment facilities, and non-manufacturing facilities on the Geismar Site.

In this role, you will serve as a member of the Geismar Site’s Strategic Leadership Team and interact with other Asset Managers and Operations Directors within the Business Units and the Geismar site. As the owner of these physical assets, you are responsible for asset effectiveness and reliability improvements, maintenance strategy and planning, outage strategy and planning, and applicable elements of capital strategy and planning.

The role includes a broad range of leadership activities which include creation and execution of the Geismar site infrastructure/manufacturing asset strategies, and overall asset management responsibility for these assets.

Formula for Success
- Your strong leadership skills will be a valued asset as you lead the Asset Management Team to success while creating a culture where continuous improvement, breakthrough performance, and an enjoyable work environment are expectations of all team members.
- Leveraging your education in Engineering and professional background in Chemical Operations, Engineering, or Maintenance within a manufacturing environment, you will develop, execute, and maintain the Optimized Asset and Site Network (OASN) plan to ensure assets are positioned to support business needs.
- We will rely upon your solid business acumen to provide business case justification for capital and expense projects as part of the capital planning cycle. You also will ensure the that Total Cost of Ownership is built into the project scope and ensure Maintenance input into the scope development process.
- As a role model, you will lead by example to identify and manage operational risks including EHS, regulatory, quality, cost, equipment optimization, and reliability.
- Driving strategic decisions for the business, you will develop and implement work processes to ensure defined asset capabilities are consistently tracked, documented, and integrated into the annual Operational Planning cycle, and that equipment strategies and action plans are created and funded to achieve the asset effectiveness required to meet business needs.
