HR Talent Solutions Manager (1702004) – Geismar, LA; Freeport, TX; Houston, TX

We are looking for an HR Talent Solutions Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will supervise up to seven Core Talent Solutions Team (CTST) members allocated throughout a geographic cluster within North America, while ensuring the timely delivery of all HR core process work. This includes measuring the effectiveness of application, sustainability, and transparency of information for continuous improvement within the HR Community. S/he will be charged with building a high-performing, motivated team through coaching and promoting their professional development. In addition, this individual will facilitate sophisticated engagements at the North American Leadership Team (NALT) member level (e.g., Talent Review of the NALT member and his/her LT). The role will be located in one of the sites with the highest concentration of leaders and employees within the geographic cluster (Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Gulf Coast, and Mexico) of his/her responsibility.

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Lead the design and development of the solutions delivery agenda while ensuring effective allocation of CTST members within the assigned geography to meet business needs and core objectives.
- Manage to budget, prioritize calendars and deployment of team members, and support HR core process work, including locally required interventions.
- Establish clear deliverables, set and meet deadlines, implement a decision-making process, and consistently share information with key stakeholders.
- Build a high-performing team while providing meaningful performance feedback and promoting personal development.
- Maintain a continuous improvement mindset through collaboration with team members to develop and enable new processes delivery (e.g., capability building) at the unit level and eventual roll-up by geographic alignment.
- Drive and implement new technologies and processes within the team environment, particularly during change management situations, including ever-changing requirements.
- Facilitate strategic engagements with the NALT and share relevant insights from regional partners on a variety of topics (e.g., Talent Reviews and Performance Calibrations).
- Direct Core Talent Solutions processes and initiatives including management of the Performance Management process; integration of the Talent Management process at each site while identifying potential talent gaps and development of career plans; management of New Leader Assimilations/New Employee Day 1 Orientations; support of Talent Events including Talent Summits and Talent Forums; and driving Diversity+Inclusion (D+I) priorities (e.g., Strategy 2025, NALT Challenge).

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience as a Human Resources Manager, or 12 years of progressive HR experience; team leadership is a differentiator.
- Thorough understanding of HR solutions, policies, and practices.
- Strong analytical, coaching/training, motivational, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized with ability to make sound decisions while managing multiple priorities.
- Business and leadership acumen combined with capacity to influence and manage organizational change.
- Willingness to work with all levels within the organization as well as demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and initiative.
- Demonstrated project management, facilitation, and coaching expertise.
- Excellent project leadership skills to be deployed across regional clusters, business units, and global partners.
- Ability to travel to assigned sites on a regular basis.
