Mechanical Design Engineer (1802283) – Geismar, LA

We are seeking a professional like you who will provide provides Mechanical Lead and Equipment & Machinery Engineering Design Expertise for capital investment projects in North America. This role supports the development and execution of capital projects for new chemical plants, major expansions and debottlenecking of existing plants and infrastructure facilities. These capital investments support the BASF Corporation 2025 growth strategy and this job function helps to ensure that the investments meet the cost, schedule, and quality requirements of the responsible Business Unit.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Formula for Success
- With your educational background in an Engineering discipline and your professional experience in Mechanical & Machinery Engineering Design Expertise for capital investment projects you will support the development and execution of capital projects for new chemical plants, major expansions and debottlenecking of existing plants and infrastructure facilities.
- With your leadership experience, you will help to ensure that the investments meet the cost, schedule, and quality requirements of the responsible Business Unit.
- As a role model, you will have cross disciplinary knowledge of civil, piping, mechanical, and electrical engineering.
- With your knowledge of relevant Machinery and/or Static Equipment design codes and standards you will work on international teams with diverse cultural backgrounds

This position requires all candidates to either currently possess or obtain and maintain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) Card from the U. S. Department of Homeland Security.
