We are seeking a professional like you to serve as a Power Distribution Supervisor at our Geismar, LA facility.

Power Distribution Supervisor (Field Service for Maintenance & Reliability) (1800281) – Geismar, LA

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Be responsible for the safe, quality, and cost-effective execution of High- and Medium-Voltage electrical maintenance work across the BASF Geismar site.
- Lead and direct the activities of BASF and Contract employees and remove barriers to facilitate work execution productivity for Routine, Turnaround, and Outage maintenance.
- Provide expertise to support maintenance, operations, and capital project activities.
- Ensure a culture of continuous improvement employing LEAN Manufacturing tools. The scope includes UPS systems, Power Distribution systems, and equipment up to 480 volts and greater.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- A Technical Degree in Industrial electronics or Electrical Engineering, or successful completion of a Manufacturing field service program is required.
- Training in Electrical Testing (Power Relays, Doble, Ultrasound, TTR, High Current Testing, Thermography) is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in power distribution maintenance or field services in an industrial environment.
- At least 4 years of demonstrated leadership experience preferred.
- Broad-based, hands-on knowledge and experience with various types of power distribution and electrical systems, including Protective Relays, Power Transformers, Switchgear, UPS systems, and associated auxiliary equipment.
- Working knowledge of all power distribution and electrical crafts and a solid understanding of maintenance work processes.
- Able to deal effectively with the unknown and unexpected and possess the ability to handle non-routine and emergency activities, such as schedule breakers, plant shutdowns, start-up, and commissioning.
- Ability to communicate effectively with facts and figures along with the capability to influence, persuade, and negotiate. Strong interpersonal skills are required in this position.
- Proven ability to motivate and challenge maintenance crafts.
- Knowledge and experience to provide technical guidance in the absence of support staff.
