Production Director, Utilities & Waste Treatment (1800479) – Geismar, LA

Where the Chemistry Happens

We are looking for a professional like you who will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, quality, safety, strategy, production effectiveness, and all related Utilities and Waste Treatment Units centrally servicing 8 Business Units (BUs) operating on Geismar’s Verbund Site, the North Geismar Site, and local third parties.

In this role, you will effectively lead the Utilities and Waste Treatment operations through the creation and implementation of the vision, strategic, and tactical plans in alignment with the businesses and the Sites’ strategic plans, which will continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations. In addition, you will provide strong EHS leadership to your direct team, as well as the Geismar site overall, and provide peer leadership that supports the efficient use of centrally operated assets.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

- Leveraging your educational background in Chemistry or Engineering, as well as your professional experience in a manufacturing environment, you will establish strategic goals, objectives, and operational budgets for the production teams that ensure continuous improvement.
