Where the Chemistry Happens…

This position is responsible for leading the Quality Systems organization that supports the entire Geismar, LA site, comprised of over 20 manufacturing facilities, and is the largest integrated manufacturing site in North America.

Quality System Team Leader (1800229) – Geismar, LA

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Own and oversee all compliance as it relates to the following: ISO9001:2015, cGMP, FSMA, along with other regulatory processes/certifications
- Manage Geismar Site Quality Manual and Quality Systems Procedures, and serve as the main contact for all internal and external communications (including global interfaces) pertaining to quality.
- Ensure key systems such as LIMS and Document Management System are maintained and issues resolved in a timely manner.
- Work with the Geismar Site leadership to further strengthen the site’s quality culture, including cGMP, via various methodologies.
- Lead, coach, and develop Quality Systems Specialists who support various manufacturing plants and/or quality systems.
- This position requires all candidates to either currently possess or obtain and maintain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) Card from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, etc., and minimum 8+ years of manufacturing experience.
- Leadership experience in leading team and/or projects.
- Experience and working knowledge of ISO9001:2015 .

- Exposure to cGMP and involved with supporting an API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) and/or excipient manufacturing facility.
- Working knowledge of Good Documentation Practices, ICH Q7, and FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act) is preferred
- Involvement in continuous improvement projects and/or has successfully led a continuous improvement team.
