Where the Chemistry Happens…

We are seeking a Senior Maintenance Turnaround (TAR) Engineer to provide execution leadership in all assigned phases of the Small/Medium Turnaround (TAR) management processes across multiple facility areas. You will identify, champion, implement and sustain global and site processes and best practices to ensure TAR planning and execution are achieved at the highest safety standards, with maximum efficiency and at minimal cost.

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Develop and implement all phases of TAR execution planning across various business units and maintenance areas to ensure business objectives are fully achieved, to include budgets, schedules, and work implementation strategies.
- Develop and implement communication strategies to ensure that all EHS procedures are fully integrated into daily TAR execution work.
- Provide technical expertise and leadership on area project teams and field work; to include, participation in RCFAs, identification of reliability near misses and capital projects.
- Identify, design and implement continuous improvement strategies for TAR execution, such as lessons learned and best practices, and represents Geismar to the Global and North American Regional TAR teams.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- BS/MS in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or other Engineering discipline or Construction Management with a minimum 7 plus years’ work experience in maintenance or construction in the chemical, petrochemical or a similar manufacturing industries; or AS in an Maintenance or Construction related discipline, with 9 plus years' work experience in maintenance, construction or petrochemical or similar manufacturing industries; or a High School Diploma or equivalent with 11 plus year's of work experience in maintenance, construction or petrochemical or similar manufacturing industries.
- BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education that are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent.
- Strong technical knowledge and experience in maintenance and/or construction work execution of all types of crafts.
- Previous project leadership in turnaround or capital project management.
- Proven ability to operate as the primary technical resource to others for all phases of TAR execution.
- Experience with SAP or similar enterprise software system as well as scheduling tools such as Primavera.
