Turnaround Manager (1802312) – Geismar, LA

Where the Chemistry Happens…

We are seeking a professional like you to plan, lead, and drive the successful execution of all assigned phases of the turnaround (TAR) management process for the assigned plant(s). You will be charged with providing expert leadership and management to the execution teams to ensure the safe, efficient, and effective performance of Turnaround and Outage maintenance by BASF employees and contractors.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Formulas for Success:
- Leading a team of 10-12 Direct Reports and up to 1000 indirect employee and contract workers at any given time, you will leverage your experience managing large TARs as well as your expertise in mechanical, civil, instrumentation, and electrical engineering in a chemical/petrochemical, food, paper or other similar manufacturing operation.
- Having directly managed for a number of years, you will demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of maintenance work and execution for all types of crafts typically used in such facilities as well as in depth knowledge and experience in the planning and execution of large (> $5M) turnarounds.
- Your knowledge of SAP and a strong knowledge of accounting practices associated with maintenance and project work is advantageous coupled with your experience in continuous process improvement such as lean methodologies and OpEx.
