Global Key Account Manager - Refining (1802310) – Houston, TX or Remote Location in US

Where the Chemistry Happens

In this role, you will be accountable for the development and implementation of an approved Key Account Plan for an assigned global key account for the refinery catalyst business (CCR). You will have leadership responsibility for managing all aspects of a global key account for BASF's CCR (Refinery Catalysts) business unit with the help of a commercial and technical account team. The position also requires the global coordination of all customer contacts, as well as alignment of BASF`s various businesses and regions towards the assigned key account.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Formula for Success
- Driving strategic decisions for the business, you will align BASF’s portfolio strategy with customer needs; with input from regions, develop, implement, and coordinate account strategies.
- Successfully engaging across the organization, you will establish cross-functional and segmental/divisional contacts and free flow of information as it pertains to key accounts, and coordinate with peers in other divisions to identify opportunities.

Leveraging your educational background in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field, plus your experience in field sales, marketing, or business development, you will drive the global functional sales and technology team to achieve targets for sales revenue and profit through value-added activities, new product placements, contracts, and implementation of pricing strategy.
- Your strong leadership and influencing skills will be a valued asset lead remote teams in coordinating and promoting activities surrounding the selling of products to global key accounts.
- Must be willing and able to travel 50-70%.
