Sr. Planning and Scheduling Engineer-Houston-Katy Freeway

Where the Chemistry Happens

We are seeking a professional like you to provide Planning and Scheduling expertise for the Project Management Office at the BASF Corporate Engineering Services Office. Your ability to communicate effectively in teams will allow you to provide planning and scheduling services, direct support and oversight to BASF Business Units. Your in depth technical knowledge about overall project planning, schedule risk analysis, risk management, and detailed scheduling work processes for all phases of a project including FEL, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning will allow you to provide planning and scheduling expertise on multiple investments of various size and complexity.

Formula for Success
- Leveraging your educational background in an Engineering, Construction Management, or other Technical discipline and/or your extensive professional experience in planning and scheduling within a project/construction, petrochemical, oil and gas or similar heavy industrial field, you will initiate, lead and support continuous improvement projects which include the development of methods, tools, and processes to improve planning and scheduling to support the goals of the Technical Rules Committee for Project Management and Cost.
- Your demonstrated ability to work in a diverse team environment, will allow you to work within global teams and experts to fulfill the goals of the relevant Global Engineering and Maintenance Work Groups.
- Your expertise in Primavera and Excel will allow you to generate predefined schedule and reporting requirements and ad hoc reports on an as needed basis.
- Your strong communications skills will be a valued asset as you interface with operations to provide technical support and recommendations on methods and improvements to minimize problems.
- Your strong analytical skills will allow proper assessments of projects to identify potential issues and will allow you to support development and recommend solutions via communication and support with Project Management.
- Additionally, you will:
- Lead and conduct Interactive Planning Sessions.
- Perform studies and analysis on schedule durations, productivity, progress and historical data.
- Lead and perform Schedule Risk Analysis
- Ensure transparency and availability of processes, rules, procedures, and guidelines for planning and scheduling
- Support the schedule sections of the Project Execution Comments
- Track planned and earned physical progress, key milestone changes, identify, analyze and offer mitigation for project delays, and support reporting to management.
