Project Engineer (1802010) – Houston , TX

We are seeking a professional like you to be a results-oriented leader who can build strong working relationships and function effectively at all levels of the organization. You must be able to think strategically to mitigate risks, solve problems, and increase value. Under the direction of the Project Manager(s) you will serve as a liaison between the project manager and the technical disciplines involved in a project. The project engineer will also be the primary technical point of contact between the project and the business partners. Quality will be another task for the project engineer as well as the management of internal and external resources to achieve project objectives successfully.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Formula for Success
- Leveraging your educational degree along with engineering experience in a chemical, petrochemical or similar manufacturing environment and project engineering experience, you will provide leadership to the project team including engineering, production, procurement, and construction.
- With your proven successful track record of executing small- to medium-size capital projects, you will achieve project objectives which include functionality, cost, and schedule for project investments up to approximately $25M.
- Utilizing your outstanding technical, leadership, and communication skills you will assist and prepare appropriate project documentation and participate in peer groups to ensure application of best practices.
- With your love of travel and in-depth knowledge of project management processes and project execution best practices, you will develop execution and contracting strategies to effectively meet objectives while ensuring compliance with all BASF policies, procedures, and technical standards. You will champion the scope development process to ensure completeness of the basic engineering, and seek opportunities for added value through application of Value Based Engineering.
