Project Manager (1802072) - Pasadena, TX

We are seeking a professional like you who is a results-oriented leader that can build strong working relationships and function effectively at all levels of the organization. You must be able to think strategically to mitigate risks, solve problems, and increase value. The Project Manager services the technical support needs for a linked regional site and is responsible for providing project management in assigned plant areas to assure proper design, procurement, and construction of capital and expense projects, usually <$15MEUR, per regulatory and BASF standards.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Formula for Success
- Leveraging your Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline along with your engineering experience in a chemical, petrochemical or similar manufacturing environment and project management or engineering skills, you will develop project scopes, generate and/or obtain cost estimates, and prepare appropriation funding requests. You will ensure appropriate project safety reviews are completed as required, both before and after approval. Utilize applicable Value- Based Engineering practices (VBEs) to optimize project scope and costs.
- With your knowledge in project execution using best practices for project management work processes you will request and coordinate required process and discipline engineering and design resources, whether from the site or corporate groups or outside engineering vendors, to prepare engineering design deliverables and procure equipment, fabricated materials, and services
- With your analytical thinking skills, communication and interpersonal understanding, initiative, team working and team leadership, and quality orientation/attention to detail, you will request necessary construction and commissioning resources from Construction and others to install the scope of work and monitor and support construction activities to ensure that projects are completed per the design deliverables, quality standards, and plant requirements, and that pre-startup safety reviews are conducted.
