Where the Chemistry Happens…

We are seeking a professional like you, a Stimulation technology expert, who will be responsible for the oversight and management of an Oilfield Solutions application laboratory dedicated to a specific oilfield customer. You will be accountable for delivering global technical support to key accounts based on products within and outside of the portfolio.

Technical Key Account Manager, Global Oilfield Solutions – Stimulation Expert (1705203) – Houston, TX

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Contribute to annual sales plans.
- Optimize use of lab resources and prioritize customer projects accordingly.
- Establish key relationships with customer’s technical team and assist in product approvals, project bids, and new product introductions.
- Ensure external and internal EHS requirements are fulfilled.
- Evaluate business opportunities and develop specific technical value propositions.
- Support implementation of new products within the customer’s portfolio.
- Provide Quality Control and production support for Oilfield Solutions.
- Serve as focal point for all technical questions regarding technology, as well as Research and Development.
- Establish relationships with customer’s development organization to authenticate a pipeline of future products and projects.
- Provide and assess market intelligence to the broader Oilfield Solutions business team including competitor’s activities, customer needs, and market trends and opportunities.
- Provide and assess support for identifying opportunities for local production.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Petroleum Engineering, or a related technical field.
- A minimum of 5 years in the chemical industry required; candidates with at least 5 years of Stimulation experience within the Oilfield industry are strongly preferred.
- Strong networking skills with ties to industry associations (e.g., SPE, NACE, API).
- Patents, publications, or consulting experience in Oilfield industry is considered a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, networking, problem-solving, leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
