We are seeking an Area Manager to join our team.

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Direct and coordinate production of company products by performing the duties personally or through subordinate supervisors
- Confer with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls, and to obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered
- Plan and direct production activities and establishes production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors
- Coordinate production activities with purchasing, maintenance, and quality to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment
- Review and analyze production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications, and operating or production problems
- Develop and implement operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality
- Revises production schedules and priorities as a result of equipment failure or operating problems
- Consult with engineering personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products
- Compile, store, and retrieve production data
- Manage directly, or through subordinate supervisors, nonexempt employees in assigned departments
- Manage overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of assigned department
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
- Manage interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, with 5+ years related supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment;
- Solid experience managing large groups of operators over multiple shifts or cross functional groups
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills and excellent math skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence other
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong planning skills required
- Able to work a rotating shift including the night shift as business needs arise and lift 40 pounds

Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- FAA background preferred
- Lean Six Sigma experience is a plus
- SAP experience a plus
