Materials Management Coordinator (1703935) - Huntsville, AL

Principal Responsibilities
- Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
- Loads and unloads items such as packages, bundles and containers from transport vehicles.
- Examines material received, verifies part numbers, and checks discrepancies such as damaged or unmarked parts.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers, maintenance workers and other personnel.
- Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed using scanning equipment and computer software to enter inventory data and create or modify inventory records.
- Records and maintains perpetual inventory of quantity and type of materials and parts received, stocked, and distributed.
- Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of stock levels.
- Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
- Aids customers in locating stocked supplies and parts.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…

Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Must be able to operate machines of medium complexity, often including use of intermediate computer skills
- Must demonstrate enhanced trouble shooting skills within their assigned process
- Must demonstrate the ability to handle multi-task assignments
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations while performing tasks which may require multiple steps
