Director, Global Planning and Controlling - Iselin, NJ - 1801356

Where the Chemistry Happens

We are seeking a driven professional like you to serve in a senior planning and controlling capacity for the Catalyst division, reporting to and serving as a business partner to the Vice President, Global Planning and Controlling.

You will be accountable for financial planning and analysis, business analysis, R&D Finance, and innovation management processes to support the operational division. You will guide and partner with the business unit leadership to enable appropriate financial decision-making and value generation.

Overall, you will serve as an active promoter of business performance in the Catalyst division with focus on short-term optimization through defined performance initiatives, and assuring economic decision-making in key long-term R&D and investment processes including business case evaluation. This role also drives the Catalyst Controller Community development with a key focus on digitalization with leveraging business analytics across the division for creating deeper business insights and driving business improvements.

- Leveraging your extensive educational and professional background in finance and controlling, you will be relied on to advance controlling efficiency and business partnership across the Catalyst Controller Community.
- With your strong business acumen, you will effectively develop long-term profitability models based on strategic planning data.
- Driving strategic decisions for the business, you will be accountable for preparing Board presentations related to key activities.
- As a role model, you will maintain high standards of quality across Catalyst in economic evaluations for investment and R&D projects.
- Successfully engaging across the organization, you will regularly interact with executive management, business unit heads, division presidents, corporate finance, investor relations, and corporate controlling on all performance-related measures.
- Your cross-disciplinary knowledge in strategic development and economic evaluation will be a valued asset as you organize and steer R&D planning and portfolio management.
