Where the Chemistry Happens…

We are seeking a Global Production Project Leader to join our Mobile Emissions Catalysts team. Mobile Emissions Catalysts has a global footprint of 9 sites with 59.4M units sold and net sales of 2.9B Euro.

Global Production Project Leader (1700841)

You will facilitate and execute projects that align and harmonize global manufacturing for all Mobile Emissions Catalysts sites. Key interfaces will be with the regional manufacturing directors and site managers, the global technology organization for asset related topic, the Global Technology and Investments organization on capital projects, Operational Excellence and Performance Management on Operational Expenditure, global Quality and Process Development as well as key stakeholders such as Global Marketing and Sales.

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Provide global lead on identifying, aligning and implementing harmonization of Mobile Emissions Catalysts global manufacturing through defining projects with appropriate milestones, collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Provide global lead on identifying, aligning and implementing of project to improve production stability/reduce cost of poor quality of Mobile Emissions Catalysts global manufacturing through defining projects with appropriate milestones, collaboration with key stakeholders
- Provide global lead on aligning manufacturing with product lifecycle process, helping to define and redefine manufacturing role in the process
- Develop and execute plans to optimize sites and asset profitability, improving utilization of plants, reducing structural idle costs in collaboration with sites and global functions
- Provide insights on regional asset utilization and capacity planning, working with counterparts worldwide including supply chain, manufacturing, technology & operational excellence and leads initiatives to maximize production efficiency
- Identify projects needs and open issues to a successful implementation of the global asset strategy and takes global lead for implementing strategy through defined projects (except invest projects) in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Provide key interface for the business unit on capital spending needs and planning
- Define and oversee process by which we do knowledge transfers between sites

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- BS Degree required Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or Operations Management preferred
- 10+ years Manufacturing, Operations, or Engineering experience required
- Coatings or Automotive Industry experience required.
- Must have business management experience
- Must have proven track record in operations
- Excellent project management skills
- Solid knowledge of Catalysts manufacturing processes highly desirable
