Global Supply Chain Manager (1800515) – Iselin, NJ

Where the Chemistry Happens

We are seeking a professional like you who will be responsible and accountable for leading the global supply chain organization of CCM/R (Refining, Salts and Solutions), as well as global platinum group metals (PGM) planning for the CCM business (Precious Metals Services). This includes all operational and strategic responsibilities for supply chain execution including 3rd party service providers. Other key responsibilities include management and efficient use of precious metal inventories, given very high valuations and costs.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Formula for Success
- Leveraging your educational and professional background in Logistics/Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline, you will successfully lead all global operational supply chain responsibilities across the business, from planning to execution, across a five-site network.
- Your strong working knowledge and experience in LEAN Six Sigma or similar methodologies will be a valued asset as you will drive a culture where continuous improvement, breakthrough performance, and a strong work environment are expectations of all team members.
- Successfully engaging across the organization, you will serve as a strong liaison to the Business Management and Manufacturing communities, and represent the business unit on global and regional initiatives with corporate supply chain experts and consultancy groups.
- Your familiarity within the chemical or materials industries and manufacturing environments will be relied up on as you will lead the planning, execution, and on-site witnessing for all outside tolling, including precious metals refining.
- Your project management experience will be essential as you will drive business unit supply chain process projects such as Precious Metal Inventory Optimization, Supply Network Planning, and Detailed Planning & Scheduling.
- Your knowledge of precious metal control and inventory processes will be critical as you will hold oversight of precious metals vaulting within three sites, along with responsibility for Platinum Group Metals (PGM) planning processes across al CCM (Precious Metal Services).
- As a role model, you will serve as the Business Expert and primary interface to global and regional Business Systems and the Business Process Digitization Project.
- Your demonstrated ability in demand/material/production/sales/operations planning will be highly valued as you will manage high-value precious inventories across all sites and rigorously driving optimization across the business using LEAN processes.
