Where the Chemistry Happens…

We are seeking a professional like you to serve as the Business Development Manager (BDM), Wall Systems out of our Jacksonville, FL location. In this role, you will serve as a consummate sales professional whose influence extends across the new construction and restoration value chains to create pull-through demand for BASF insulated wall systems. At corporate accounts, such as in the Hotel and Quick Serve Restaurant industries, the BDM creates relationships that result in national specification of BASF systems.

Utilizing detailed knowledge of Wall Systems products and systems, the BDM is a trusted advisor who influences both architectural specification and building enclosure design, so that BASF systems specified by architects maximize value for BASF, the architect, the building owner, and the installation contractor.

Acting as the voice of the construction design and engineering community, the BDM actively shapes new product development within Wall Systems, and plays a key role in launching new products to the design community and to national corporate accounts. As appropriate, the BDM works with Architectural Sales Representatives and Territory Sales Managers to move select construction projects from acquisition to specification to final sales, and to facilitate new product introductions.

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Manage the process of architectural design and specification development by influencing architects, engineers, and spec writers.
- Develop and maintain national accounts.
- Provide sales and ASR support on major projects.
- Serve on cross-functional teams tasked with developing new business products and opportunities; spearhead new product launch activities.
- Remain actively involved in professional organization; participate in box lunch presentations and relationship development with Account Executives. Conduct distributor and contractor training in coordination with Territory Sales Managers.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Architecture, or a related field, plus at least 5 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in the building enclosure field.
- Strong understanding of the construction process from inception to completion.
- Able to work effectively with minimal direct supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to act as a trusted advisor to the building community, while effectively representing building product manufacturer interests.
- Experienced in delivering educational presentations to professional customers, and in new product launches to the construction industry.
- Maintains excellent working relationships across the organization.
- Proficient with office software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Up to 50% travel
