Maintenance I & E Planner – 1800145 – Kankakee, IL

The Maintenance Planner position is responsible for the effective and efficient planning of resources to conduct maintenance activities which result in safe work order execution, efficient asset downtime and optimum asset life cycle costs. In order to fulfill these responsibilities, the Planner is empowered to manage work priority, develop job plans, define parts and materials, define craft and skills and engage the proper resources to develop a safe, effective and efficient work control plan based on the Target Start Date and Priority of Production Approved, non-emergency work requests. The Planner provides equipment related expertise and technical guidance to improve PM, PdM and CBM activities along with MRO management. The Planner will also manage non-stock spare parts on hand. The Planner will also monitor department and asset metrics relevant to effective job planning to continually improve performance and will promote a reliable cost-effective culture. Additionally, the Planner will:
- Scope out repair method in the field and capture it via job plans for technicians
- Review historical data to improve job plans and repair methods
- Understand planning criticality and apply the concept on emergent or planned jobs to adhere timelines
- Obtain and maintain low cost planning through our vendors & suppliers
- Maintain a 2-week planned working schedule prioritized by the
- Maintain strict adherence to our MOC process in reference to planning
- Enter, track and maintain the PR/PO process
- Maintain metric compliance standards

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year electrical and / or instrumentation experience
- 1 year SAP and / or other CMMS experience

Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 year degree with an electrical or instrumentation background
- Excellent Safety Performance
- Strong verbal & written communication skill with multiple levels in the organization and external suppliers
- Strong decision-making skills
- Time management skills & strong work ethic
- Strong maintenance technical skills
- Knowledge with MS Word & Excel
