The Logistics Area Leader manages and operates shipping operations safely and efficiently, encourages employee ownership, demonstrates and promotes effective decision making, maintains high personal standards, and establishes/maintains high crew performance standards.

Logistics Area Leader (1705379) – McIntyre, GA

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Ensure activities are performed in accordance with BASF and MSHA safety policies.
- Maintain equipment is operated in compliance with environmental regulations/permits.
- Develop and maintain high housekeeping and performance standards for area(s) of responsibility.
- Ensure productivity is at budgeted levels and proactively pursue improvements.
- Confirm on-time shipment goals are met.
- Be responsible for bulk load shipments out of the plant.
- Evaluate equipment capabilities, identify process bottlenecks, and develop plans to resolve constraints.
- Provide leadership/guidance to crews to maximize performance in support of business goals.
- Complete Lean/Six Sigma training at the Yellow Belt level.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial processing/production environment.
- Must be a proactive self-starter capable of working with limited supervision.
- Good communication and leadership skills, with ability to motivate employees.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to quickly address and resolve problems.
- Prior knowledge of Kaolin processing preferred.
- SAP experience is a plus.
- Good computer skills required (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Lean/Six Sigma training is a plus.
