Maintenance Specialist - 1705242 – McIntyre, GA

The maintenance specialist is tactical and daily maintenance focused. It is responsible to collaborate with Production and Maintenance personnel and provide services relating to review, repair, and maintenance, including predictive / preventative maintenance activities. Additionally, it provides technical support for Root Cause Failure Analyses, troubleshooting of problems, and monitoring Preventive Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance programs.
- Provide technical support to maintenance supervisors and crafts on equipment reliability, PM and PdM programs.
- Monitor and optimize Preventative and Predictive Maintenance Plans
- Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis and generates Bad Actor program data
- Assist in training and development of maintenance procedures
- Provide troubleshooting support and recommendations to operating units on equipment reliability including emergency work reviews
- Knowledge and understanding of industrial plant operations
- Detailed working knowledge of industrial machinery operation, repair, and maintenance.
- Equipment troubleshooting ability
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Effective communication (verbal and written) skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma
- 8 continuous years of job related experience in industrial maintenance
- 2 years Preventative and Predictive Maintenance systems experience
- 2 years’ experience in Root Cause Analysis and identifying equipment failure modes

Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical Certificate or Associate Degree in industrial maintenance with 3 years industrial Maintenance experience
- 2 years’ experience in equipment lubrication and building lubrication programs
