Where the Chemistry Happens…

We are seeking a professional like you to supervise work flow and efficiency efforts of the inventory and shipping departments. You will oversee daily production, shipping, and procurement scheduling, as well as reporting in SAP. In addition, you will monitor raw material and packaging levels and perform clerical and administrative duties within designated areas of responsibility. This is a supervisory role with responsibility for managing direct reports’ performance, development, and training, as well as coaching and directing employees.

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Supervise work flow and efficiency efforts of the inventory and shipping departments.
- Procure raw material, packaging, equipment, and miscellaneous plant necessities.
- Be responsible for scheduling of finished good production.
- Monitor raw materials and packaging inventories.
- Maintain production documentation.
- Perform administrative responsibilities including, but not limited to raw material and packaging receipt, issuing process orders on SAP, and processing bill payments.
- Coordinate EH&S activities as designated by the Plant Manager.
- Train and recertify forklift operators.
- Follow all appropriate Environmental Protection, Safety, Health and Quality (ESHQ) policies.
- Wear prescribed Personal Protective equipment and ensure prescribed safeguards are properly used.
- Report unsafe acts or conditions to Plant Manager and take immediate interim steps to protect himself/herself and others from serious risk.
- Understand Safety and Environmental responsibility is a major part of BASF’s Vision and Guiding Principles, with responsibility for his/her safety and of others.
- Follow all quality initiatives and processes for ISO 9001:2008, RC 14001:2008.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- Associate’s degree and at least 2 years of relevant professional experience; OR High School diploma/equivalent and 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to understand and follow all written manufacturing work orders and oral instructions.
- Ability to accurately perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Excellent computer skills (e.g., MS Office Suite).
- Knowledge of SAP R/3 is highly desirable.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze and problem-solve.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Must understand and follow all quality initiatives and processes for ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004/RC 14001:2008 and other regulations, procedures, and processes as they pertain to job responsibilities.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Strong work ethic with ability to perform a wide range of tasks with minimal supervision.
- Ability to read various measuring devices.
