Where the Chemistry Happens

The Operations Coordinator will contribute to achieving site objectives by leading maintenance and participating in, coordinating, and working with technology/capital improvements, health, safety, ecology, production/manufacturing, quality assurance, and logistics. This is a career growth orientated position. Willingness for continued career development and willingness to take on additional responsibilities is essential.

Formula for Success
- Maintenance Coordination – Coordinates all maintenance activities for site. Responsible for two maintenance personnel. Manages the document control process; creates preventative maintenance schedule and prioritizes work orders and PMs for maintenance personnel’s daily activities. Reviews safe-work permits. Responsible for all outside vendors performing maintenance to plant scales, forklifts, dock equipment, insulation, etc.
- Project Engineering – Assists in the development of the project capital planning and budgeting process. Performs project related duties including scope design, POM development, cost estimation, contractor coordination, implementation, and start-up for capital projects.
- Production Coordination – Develops process standards, operating procedures, diagrams, training materials, and job aids as required to properly document and coordinate operations. Leads the development of new manufacturing processes, fixtures, equipment or tooling. Interfaces with production of activities associated with new process or process improvement. Ensures that products meet the desired quality specifications and attributes.
- Coordinates EH&S activities as designated by the Plant Manager.
- Follow all appropriate Environmental Protection, Safety, Health and Quality (ESHQ) policies.
- Wears prescribed Personal Protective equipment and ensures that prescribed safeguards are properly used.
- Immediately reports unsafe acts or conditions to Plant Manager and takes immediate interim steps to protect himself/herself and others from serious risk.
- Understands that Safety and Environmental responsibility is a major part of BASF’s Vision and Guiding Principles. Responsible for the safety of themselves and others.
- Must understand and follow all quality initiatives and processes for ISO 9001:2008, RCMS
