EHS Team Lead (1802526) – Newport, DE

Where the Chemistry Happens

BASF’s Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Group is seeking a Team Lead like you to drive, coordinate, and support EHS programs, management systems, and related sustainability efforts. You will lead a team of EHS professionals to optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of BASF’s EHS programs and initiatives.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Formula for Success
- As a trusted advisor to site leadership, you will identify and prioritize issues and opportunities, as well as develop and execute action plans, designed to reduce risks and improve EHS performance.
- Leading a team of cross-functional professionals, you will provide direction and guidance to meet EHS performance goals within their area of responsibilities while fostering their professional development.
- Successfully engaging across the business, you will coordinate with the BASF EHS Centers of Expertise (CoE) on processes and initiatives to ensure continuous improvement in EHS.
- Leveraging your educational background in Engineering, Science, or a Business-related field, combined with your professional experience, you will monitor key performance indicators and make necessary adjustments to resources and programs to improve performance in EHS.
- Your ability to consistently display your strategic thinking and influencing skills will be a valued asset as you implement standardized EHS processes in the support of the BASF Responsible Care© Management System.
- You will be relied on to interact with and influence corporate and site leadership, regulatory agencies, and other key stakeholders on best practices in EHS program execution.
