We are seeking a Principle Engineering Leader to work out of our Port Arthur, TX site.

Principle Engineering Leader (1703974) – Port Arthur, TX

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Lead the technical team in the Port Arthur Cold Section of the Steam Cracker, PYGAS Unit and C4 Complex (Butadiene Unit, Indirect Alkylation Unit, Olefins Conversion Unit) Daily Operations Teams (DOT) to ensure effective, efficient, and safe operation by executing targets set out by the responsible Operations Manager and/or Business Group.
- Accountable for daily plant operations performance, quality, cost, volumes, and environmental control.
- Manage and coach work teams within BASF-TOTAL Petrochemicals.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (Chemical preferred) with at least 12 years of petrochemical or refining operations experience; OR Master’s degree with 10 years of experience; OR Ph.D. with 8 years of experience; operations experience in different technologies would require at least 2 more years of relevant experience.
- Leadership experience within a chemical/refining environment.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Demonstrated management experience in setting priorities for operations, maintenance, capital, and initiatives.
