Where the Chemistry Happens…

The Associate Sample Coordinator represents R&D Global Sample Logistics as a primary point of contact for customers, acting as the customer advocate in a manner which ensures customer service excellence. The role will be located in the BASF Research Triangle Park (RTP), NC location.

Associate Sample Coordinator (1702289) – Research Triangle Park, NC

As the Associate Sample Coordinator, you will research the sample order fulfillment process including procurement coordination, order entry, conflict resolution, packaging, labeling, shipping, document preparation, receiving and inventory management functions of non-hazardous and hazardous experimental products. You will also ensure that experimental samples are in place in a timely manner and in full compliance with all applicable laws.

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Process orders for research samples; evaluate requests; determine routing; ensure on time delivery
- Communicate directly with customers regarding order status; monitor exceptions and communicate issues in a timely fashion
- Manage customer inquiries, complaints and non-conformances; contribute to the root cause analysis and implement defined corrective actions
- Prepare research samples for shipment in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Assist in safety walk-throughs
- Maintain samples in storage, accurately, safely and in compliance with all laws and regulations

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…
- BS/BA in Engineering, Life Sciences, Supply Chain, or Related Field
- 2+ years of customer service experience, with direct customer contact
- Computer proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and experience with a data warehousing management system
- Willing and able to work safely with chemicals of both hazardous and non-hazardous natures
- Highly organized with the ability to interact at all levels within the organization
- Strong interpersonal and customer interaction skills; effective written and verbal communication skills; high attention to detail

We Also Look For…
- Experience working in, and/or supporting, a warehousing/shipping environment
- Certification in IATA hazardous material transportation
- Working knowledge of GLP, EPA, FIFRA and TSCA
- Experience with SAP
