The Biology Project Leader is a member of the Biology team within BASF's North American Agricultural Solutions business located in Research Triangle Park, NC.

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Act as the biological technical liaison for assigned herbicide projects on cross functional teams within North America
- Design and implement of experimental programs to support the discovery, selection / justification, development of new technologies and support of commercial products.
- Identification of experimental candidate utility and new uses for existing products
- Coordination of herbicide R&D activities with the Biology Group Leader, and Regional / Global R&D, Regulatory, and Business Unit counterparts.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- MS or PhD degree in a related Agricultural, Biological or Plant Protection discipline such as Agronomy / Crop Science / Horticulture / Weed Science.
- Minimum of PhD with 3 years related experience or MS degree with 5 years related experience.
- Thorough knowledge of crop protection and herbicide field research processes and techniques, in addition to general agronomic and plant protection practices.
- Working knowledge of North American crop production and herbicide use in crops including corn, soybean, cotton, rice, wheat, tree and vine, and vegetables.
- Practical knowledge of computers and software necessary for communication, data collection / analysis and knowledge sharing.
- Field R&D Trial Experience.

We Also Look For…
- Hands-on experience with R&D studies involving all crop protection disciplines (e.g. herbicide, fungicide, insecticide) and nutrient / water management.
- Project Management experience is a plus.
