We're looking for a Customer Service Representative to be part of the Operations Team of BASF's Agricultural Products division (AP) in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.

Customer Service Representative (1704553) – RTP, NC

As the Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for the entire order fulfillment process of an assigned client base. The successful candidate will understand and follow defined processes and procedures and serve as the BASF primary point of contact for internal and external customers. The order fulfillment process includes; order entry and resolution of conflicting issues, shipping and invoicing. He/she will proactively take necessary action to remove obstacles between customer's requirements and BASF's ability to satisfy them while making decisions within established guidelines.

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Effectively and efficiently manage order to cash process activities such as expediting, basic returns, back order monitoring, sample and zero-dollar orders, consignment order process, and removing obstacles that may impact customer requirements and BASF’s ability to satisfy them.
- Execute Customer Non-Conformance process including investigation and reporting.
- Complete material availability inquiries and price discrepancy reporting.
- Perform concise and timely inventory reconciliation.
- Contribute directly to supply chain initiatives of Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), including managing slow moving or aged inventory reduction via direct interaction with sales/product management and customers.
- Provide consistent quality service and act as a liaison for customers and external service providers.
- Understand and enforce stated business rules and raise awareness to situations where a resolution requires cross functional coordination.
- Effectively manage more complex projects and time lines for Customer Service including: organizing clear key deliverables, establishing and meeting deadlines, action item management and resolution, information sharing with stake holders, decision making, collaboration and final presentation.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…
- Bachelors, or higher level, degree with 2+ years of experience.
- Computer proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel/Word) and web-based applications.
- Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple PC applications at a time.
- Experience interacting with customers in a helpful and friendly manner to understand their needs.
- Demonstrated team working skills.
- Demonstrated time management and priority setting skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong problem-solving skills.

We Also Look For…
- Bachelors, or higher level, degree with 4+ years of experience.
- Degree in supply chain management or logistics.
- Knowledge and understanding of supply chain process, materials planning.
- Knowledge and/or skills in SAP.
- Developed business acumen.
- APICS certification or willing to obtain.
- Ability to read, write and speak a foreign language is desirable.
