Where the Chemistry Happens…

BASF Plant Science (RBP) is seeking a Planning and Information Manager to join its Regulatory Sciences laboratory. The Planning and Information Manger will support: 1) Global planning of Regulatory phases of Trait projects as well as the tracking of Regulatory studies and dossiers, 2) Global management of Regulatory information and documentation, and 3) Maintaining the compliance and quality processes of the Regulatory GLP Testing facility.

Formula for Success: You Will…

Project plan and track
- Build, maintain and control all Global Regulatory Project plans, which contain all work to be conducted as well as due dates for completion, financial information, and resource needs,
- Develop and implement suitable sustainable solutions to efficiently receive from, manage for, and output to appropriately-detailed project and resource planning information for specific stakeholder groups.
- Optimize plans and critical paths.
- Track all resourcing and milestones.
- Work closely with stakeholders (Project Teams, Regulatory Managers, Global Regulatory Function Head, and Central Functions) to transparently convey project information.

Manage Regulatory Information and Documentation
- Track and file study reports, dossiers and critical communications within the global Regulatory Function.
- Optimize and maintain documentation systems compliant under international GLP regulation.
- Provide all SOP-related to processing and management of documentation for Regulatory Research.
- Work closely with others managing information in BASF to align RBP Regulatory information flow and distribution.

Provide Quality Assurance Management
- Provide support to the Regulatory Science as well as the Test Facility Management that all activities are conducted in compliance with applicable internal and external quality standards, including: GLP standards, RBP Stewardship quality standards, as well as USDA APHIS regulations.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work closely with others in a team environment. You will have well-developed leadership and project management skills and be a proactive, creative and motivated team player. You will be required to simultaneously focus on multiple issues, and must have the ability to meet multiple goals and to attain the desired results, often under time pressure and in a fast changing environment.
- Ph.D. with 2 years of experience, M.S. with 5 years of experience, or B.S. with 7 years of laboratory or regulatory experience in protein biochemistry, biology, chemistry, molecular biology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience
- Experience communicating planning parameters and procedures clearly to members of relevant planning stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience being proactive and anticipating needs for projects and the Regulatory group and address them before they become problems
- Demonstrated experience concurrently and quickly addressing the needs of ongoing projects requiring immediate attention
- Demonstrated experience attending or monitoring details while keeping big-picture goals in mind
- Knowledge of regulatory studies
